Victor and family moved into Earl’s Court Square in 1967. Victor was an art dealer who volunteered to water the hanging baskets on the lamp posts which in 1981 were all around the Square. When the gardener left, Victor having closed his art gallery took over the work for the garden committee. He soon won 1st prize for the Open Squares Weekend. Victor was tireless in his care for the garden up until a few years ago when his health started failing. He will be remembered for his sharp witted humour and great sense of fun.
