AGM February 2025

The AGM was chaired by Alex Tullett our new ECSRA Chairman. Alex requested a show of hands of appreciation for Chrissie Courtney our outgoing Chairman for her eight years of strong ECSRA leadership.
Alex’s Chairmans report ‘covered items all people chatter about,’ said Alan Malcolm offering feedback. Rodney Brangwyn our past ECSRA Chairman (1990 – 2002) thought Alex for his first AGM as Chairman did very well. Liz Cookson said it was another good opportunity to see people and new faces. Helen Gibbs enjoyed food ‘a-plenty’ and both she and Liz thought The Bottlery was cosy if not a little cramped. Helen thought our speaker Joe Powel MP was articulate and detailed. Magda Zawisza said, ‘the AGM offered an excellent opportunity to hear about the efforts ECSRA do in relation to our Square. It was good to pose questions to our special guest Joe Powell about plans for Earl’s Court, as well as the wider RBKC in an informal setting, especially discussing the main challenges for local residents in our neighbourhood.’
It will be interesting to see if Joe Powell makes any progress with the TfL grumbles that were spoken about!
Our big thanks to Jimmy and his staff at the Bottlery for hosting our well attended AGM.
