The Annual BBQ
With some relief we were able to hold our annual BBQ for the first time in three years on Saturday the 9th July as
the BBQ is the the main fundraiser for ECSRA. Jerry Shillingford (a one-time resident in the Square) was our wonderful DJ for the evening, providing the entertainment and sparkle to dance to.
As ever our thanks to the half a dozen committee volunteers behind the scenes who set up, and the many more who help clear after and the next morning - when ‘eagle eying’ the grounds for bits of debris is possible. Gone are the days when containers with sand were positioned to help smokers find a home for butts. But there is still the odd one along with little wrappers to pick up, to keep our shared garden beautiful.
